Refund and Returns Policy

Please note important conditions of sale

1. Second-Hand Goods

Our store specialises in second-hand, used, reclaimed, recovered and surplus materials. Unless specifically stated otherwise, all products must be regarded as second-hand and may show signs of previous use, including scratches, dents, surface rust, corrosion, fading, paint, welds, drilled holes, cut edges, weathering and other imperfections.

We make reasonable efforts to accurately describe the condition of every item and disclose known significant defects. Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description and photographs before purchasing.

2. Product Information

Product photographs, measurements, weights, quantities and descriptions are provided as accurately as reasonably possible. However, measurements and weights may be approximate, particularly for reclaimed or recovered materials.

Unless specifically confirmed in writing, we do not guarantee the grade, structural capacity, remaining lifespan or suitability of second-hand materials for any particular engineering, structural or specialised application.

Where materials will be used for structural or safety-critical purposes, the customer is responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice before use.

3. Prices & Payment

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Prices will indicate whether VAT is included where applicable.

Orders will only be released once payment has been successfully received and cleared. Stock remains subject to availability.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing, stock or description errors. Where an affected order has already been paid, the customer will be contacted and an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement will be offered.

4. Collection & Delivery

Customers selecting collection are responsible for providing a suitable vehicle and safely securing their goods.

We reserve the right to refuse loading where a vehicle appears unsuitable, unsafe or overloaded.

Where delivery is offered, delivery charges and arrangements will be confirmed before completion of the order. Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible and that suitable unloading facilities or equipment are available where required.

5. Returns & Refunds

Because our products are primarily second-hand materials, customers should carefully inspect the photographs, descriptions, dimensions and disclosed condition before purchasing.

We are not generally required to accept a discretionary return simply because a customer changes their mind, orders the incorrect size or quantity, or no longer requires the goods.

However, nothing in these Terms removes or limits any return, refund, warranty or other consumer right that applies under South African law.

Goods that have been cut, modified, welded, drilled, installed or otherwise altered at the customer’s request or after purchase may not be eligible for discretionary return, subject to applicable law.

6. Specifically Disclosed Defects

Where a particular defect, damage or condition is clearly disclosed before purchase, the customer acknowledges that the product is being purchased with that disclosed condition.

The fact that goods are second-hand does not remove any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Liability & Use of Materials

Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased materials are suitable and safe for their intended use.

We will not be responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification, overloading or use of a product for a purpose for which it was not represented as suitable, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights where such exclusion is prohibited by South African law.

8. Stock Availability

Second-hand products are often unique or available in limited quantities. Adding an item to your cart does not guarantee availability.

If an item becomes unavailable after payment, we will refund the amount paid for the unavailable item or offer an alternative with the customer’s agreement.

9. Personal Information

Personal information provided through this website may be used for processing orders, payments, deliveries, customer service, fraud prevention and legal or administrative requirements.

10. Website Use

You may not use this website for unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purposes, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, or interfere with its operation or security.

11. Applicable Law

These Terms and all transactions through this website are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including applicable consumer, electronic transaction, privacy and second-hand goods legislation.

If any part of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory provision of South African law, the applicable law will take precedence.
